Founded in 1902, Air Liquide is the world's largest supplier of industrial gases by revenues with operations in over 80 countries. The company issued a tender for decommissioning one of their historic CO² gas wells.
Commissioned in 1991 with estimated reserves of 1 billion m3, the 37.5 km2 gas deposit (96 % carbon dioxide ) is located in Montmirail at 2500 m depth.
