PTTEP is an oil and gas exploration and production company based in Thailand with operations in eleven countries worldwide.

Arthit and GBS Average production is 300 million standard ft³/day (mmscfd) of natural gas and 14,000 barrels a day of condensate. Arthit appears as one of the most prolific gas and condensate field in Thailand with 1.9 trillion cubic feet (tcf) proven reserves of gas.

Arthit and GBS gas & condensate fields stand in shallow water 230km offshore Thailand's Songkhla province.

Our Scope

Since 2017, SeaOwl is contracted by the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA) through a four years contract for stand-by oil spill recovery services

SeaOwl is entitled to modify and equip the vessel while training the crew accordingly in order to have a fully equipped and manned vessel should the need for oil recovery arise in the Bay of Biscay area, other duties include:

  • Participating in oil pollution response drills and exercises organized by EMSA
  • Participating in operations in other European maritime areas if requested

Through contracts, the EMSA agency aims to make additional at-sea pollution response capacity available on all of European coasts through the conclusion of local stand-by agreements

The contract is hence carried out by the “VN Partisan” that has been specifically re-fitted to be able to perform oil-recovery duties
